The town of
Princeton British Columbia, found in the Southern Okanagan, has a
population approaching 5000 people in town and surrounding areas.
Our gorgeous little community is surrounded by many beautiful
rivers, lakes, and mountains providing residents and visitors
alike with any outdoor recreational activity imaginable.
The
major employer in our community is Weyerhaeuser, the biggest
sawmill in town. The recent creation of a cost effective
industrial park offers a perfect opportunity for new wood based
businesses to take advantage of an already established mill. For
more information please contact the Town
Hall.
Our community offers two elementary schools, one
intermediate school, and one secondary school. We also have a
school called the BRIDGE. This school offers education to adults
and students through the Pathfinders learning program. We have an
arena, with hockey leagues for all ages, and a curling rink. We
also have a large recreational area, called Memorial Park, which
has baseball fields, a swimming pool, tennis courts, an outdoor
volleyball court near the river, and a playground for the
children. Our town has a 18 hole golf coarse as well, the back 9
was recently opened in 2001.
As you can see there are many
opportunities to explore new and exciting things in the Princeton
area, so come and visit us some time!
