Tourism
is a major part of our small community. Lakes, rivers and
mountains Surround us. Almost all of the lakes in the area offer
fishing, and there are some good fishing spots along the
Similkameen and Tulameen rivers as well. Many of the lakes in the
area have either a Provincial or Forestry campsite situated near
them, and if not, there is usually one near by.
We also
have a number of Bed & Breakfasts surrounding Princeton. The
majority of these offer outdoor activities such as mountain
biking, kayaking, and horseback riding. If you would prefer to
stay in town we also have a number of hotels and motels. There are
also a lot of restaurants located in town, and many of them offer
different cuisines. For a complete guide to the hotels/motels, bed
& breakfasts, and restaurants in the Princeton area please
follow the links on this page.
Princeton is also located on
the Trans Canada Trail. The Kettle Valley Railway, which once ran
through Princeton, is now part of the trail. Everyone has access
to the trail which can be used for walking and biking in the
summer months, and ski-dooing and cross-country skiing in the
winter. By having the trail pass directly through our town, it
makes us an excellent place to stop and take a breather. There are
convenience stores and restaurants located near the trail, and
accommodations are not too far off.
So for the ultimate
outdoor experience, come and discover what so many others already
have: Princeton, and the recreational paradise that surrounds it.
